January Affirmations

Our culture is full of pressure to hit the ground running on January 1. For years I carried around a bit of shame because I could never succeed at following through on a resolution or finding the motivation for “new year new me!”

About 4 years ago, I decided to let go of new year pressure and instead embrace life rhythms. Now, instead of moving from December chaos to January intensity, I ease in to the new year and focus instead on creating or refining sustainable rhythms that support my personality, my stage of life, my beliefs, and who I’m working to become.
